Mr. Athas joined Draper and Kramer in 1999 with over 25 years experience in Commercial and Industrial Real Estate. He began his real estate career in Denver, Colorado dealing in industrial and commercial properties. He has been involved with identifying land sites for multi-family, commercial and industrial development as well as structuring affordable housing tax credit and bond financing scenarios on existing investments. He has significant expertise in portfolio sales, auctions, sealed bids, and direct sales programs with broad exposure in all major real estate markets. Mr. Athas has been involved in sales transactions of over $500 million in 45 states representing individual asset purchasers and sellers, corporate and Financial institutional entities such as Aetna Life Insurance Co., General Dynamics, Ocwen Corp. and Ford Motor company to name a few. Mr. Athas was recruited by the Sears Corporation to specifically assist Sears in their assemblage of the property required for their World Headquarters in Hoffman Estates, Illinois. Before entering the real estate business, Mr. Athas was the District Manager for the Hertz Corporation in Toronto, Canada.

Mr. Athas is a graduate of Westminster College with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Economics and a minor in Speech with postgraduate work in Business at the University of Utah.
